- MAA’s AMC (American Mathematics Competitions) is the oldest (began in 1950) and most prestigious mathematics competition for high schools and middle schools.
- The American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME) is a challenging competition offered for those who excelled on the AMC 10 and/or AMC 12.
- The MAA AMC program helps America’s educators identify talent and foster a love of mathematics through classroom resources and friendly competition. The MAA AMC program positively impacts the analytical skills needed for future careers in an innovative society.
March 2022 - MHAB student ranks the 2nd out of 133 students in MATHCOUNTS Chapter Competition.
- Mathcounts, stylized as MATHCOUNTS, is a nationwide middle school mathematics competition held in various places in the United States.
- Its current lead sponsors are Raytheon Technologies and the U.S. Department of Defense STEM.
- Topics covered include geometry, counting, probability, number theory, and algebra.
- Grade level: grades 6-8
October 2021 - Seventh grade MHAB student receives a silver medal in a national math competition
Beestar National Competition is an online competition designed to bring students nationwide together to solve interesting problems and have fun competing with one another. Based on the widely accepted school curricula, it is open to students of all states and all skill levels. BNC is also a great way for parents to see how their kids are doing beyond their local school district.
